EV Olive Oil & the Level of Demand Associated With It

By Rob Sutter

EV olive oil is something that deserves much more attention than it has gained and I don't think anyone can argue with me for long on the matter. For us in the United States, we have been given various types of the oil and maybe we don't take into account how other areas of the world feel about it. Maybe they are parts of the world which don't have it in large amounts, or any amounts for that matter. To say that this is unfortunate would be an understatement.

Why is it that this oil hasn't been able to reach other parts of the world? One could probably attribute this to the area of price, which isn't exactly far-off. Keep in mind that the economy in every country is not going to be the same, with some of them being far worse than others. Costs have to be taken into account and there may be many who consider this type of oil only a luxury which, if you know anything about the benefits, couldn't be any further from the truth.

The International Olive Council newsletter the month prior talked about EV olive oil demand and how it has grown in Japan. The data showed that it had become so great that it managed to beat out even China. Keep in mind that demands have gone up in a number of areas; it's just that Japan showed higher statistics than others. I think that this kind of information is some that can be looked at by companies on the matter, Bellucci Premium included amongst them.

While Japan might have seen a tremendous leap, it wasn't the only part of the world to do so. In fact, if you take a moment to look at India, you can see that it had a great amount of imports over the past season when the olives were prevalent. The newsletter reported on this, saying that imports had gone up 74 percent. Compare that to Japan's increases of only 23 percent and I think it is clear just how much larger the demand is in some far-off regions.

EV olive oil has clearly gone up over the course of time and I think that there's no wonder as to why. With Japan and India, to name two of the more prominent areas, becoming more aware of this oil, there are benefits which they would like to reap. The antioxidants are useful when it comes to warding off disease and the "good" monounsaturated fats are the ones which can be taken into the body. This oil can continually be utilized and this quality does not show any signs of dropping.
