The most awesome drive in food

If you grew up in the 60s, or watch such television shows such as Happy Days, you're familiar with the drive-in restaurants. At one time, these were all the rage. Waiters back then were called "Car hops" wherein all of them were sexy ladies. Each of these "car hops" wore their own respective uniforms or costumes whenever they're on service. Some even used skates to get the food out faster.

You could pull up in a car hop would come to your car and take your order. She would bring the food to your car on a special tray that hook onto your window. You'd consume the food and put the trash run on the tray, on the horn, and the car hop would come and retrieve your tray. Drive throughs were basically used in most of the beach boy movie settings and a few establishments went very famous because of this.

A few of the commonly served food in drive through restaurants are fries, hotdogs, burgers, softdrinks like coke and pepsi and many more. In some places you can order chicken or grilled cheese sandwich.

With the constant improvement of technology comes also the improvements in the drive through business. Modern drive throughs no longer make use of "car hops" with their sleek uniforms and skates. A lot other drive through establishments however still serve food in the same way as back in the days. They try to keep the set up as simple as possible and the rates as convenient as can be for consumers. However, competition for this kind of business is very much risky specially if you're competing with major companies. With all that said, which is the best drive-in food?

There are tons of great drive-ins however the one on the top of the list would be "Sonic". Some of the newest features of these modern drive-ins are the specialized menus, easy parking and the drive through where a customer can simply make an order and wait for it. There is no more need to bring a tray that can fit to your car window just to have your food delivered. Food is not brought to each customer through paper or plastic bags.

Deciding which drive-in food is the best is probably a very personal choice. If we look at the chronological order of drive in foods, hamburger seems to come out on the top. This is for the reason that burgers are pretty much easy to make and is affordable.

Some of the more famous drive-ins such as Dairy Queen, and A&W root beer, had specialties that there famous for. The particular specialty food from these drive-ins will likely be the most reason why customers will take a vist. Most of these drive-ins feature a special food that most consumers can identify with. One prime example is Carl Junior's six dollar burger.

Through the years, ice cream has also been made a specialty like Dairy Queens "specialized ice cream". Furthermore, other establishments such as A&W featured root beers from all their other foods.

Obviously, the Burger King or the Big Mac can never be faced out when it comes to specialty food from drive-in restaurants. With this, burger really stands out to be the best food when it comes to drive-in foods.

Since the burger is mainly all meat, many start to question its ingredients as well as its effects to the health that is why other establishments such as McDonalds came up with alternative food like salads and fruits that they can place on their menus for health-conscious customers to choose from. Fortunately, this alternative works for customers as well.
