There are so many ozone sanitizers in the market today that one is not sure which way to turn. Does one even know what an ozone sanitizer is? Is it a healthier choice from what you have grown up with? Ozone is called activated oxygen and contains three atoms instead of the normal two. It can be used to destroy odors, bacteria, and viruses. It is a gas at ambient temperatures that has a strong smell. This can be made as a gas from oxygen and can be dissolved into water.

Using this in a form of a gas on all sports equipment is very helpful. It will ensure that all germs etc will not be left in any cloth, padding, or seams. It will leave everything clean, safe, and odor- free.

There are many different methods of keeping ones pool sparkling and free of harmful germs. The most commonly used are bromine, ionization, chlorine or a combination of them all. The side effects of using chlorine are that it tends to burn one's eyes, skin, lungs, and throat. Swimming under water many tend to have their eyes open. Eventually one will battle to see and their eyes are so sore that many are now looking for alternatives to this chemical.

There are rules that are set into place where food is to be made. All the fittings, fixtures, and equipment must be kept in a clean state. All surfaces that food comes into contact with must be kept free of any germs. There are differences between cleaning and sanitizing. Both do however help to prevent the spread and growth of any organism that might cause illnesses as well as help to alleviate pests on the premises.

Legal requirements clearly state that the premises must adhere to a standard of cleanliness. There must be no food waste lying on the floors or in hard to reach corners. All dirt on the floor needs to be cleaned and grease and oil must be cleaned properly. All surfaces need to be clean to touch and free of clutter. The use of the gas has been applied in many commercial and industrial laundering establishments since the early 1990s. The machine can be put on a cold cycle and have the same results as if it were a warm cycle. This will save on the heat and consumption considerably.

The pros of using ozone sanitizers are many. It does not have a smell and can be used in cold water instead of hot. If used in pools, unlike chlorine, this will not leave your eyes burning and your throat sore.
