Ogden Restaurant

By Lori Buenavista

Bistro 258 is very proud to offer delicious, unique main courses to diners in the Ogden Historic District. Nick Cash and his son Devin dreamt of owning and operating a bistro for many years. In 2007, they obtained the business and began taking part, hand and hand. They're excited to become a portion of the rich, lively community in Ogden-one that combines a brief history of the Union Pacific Railroad with modern-day entertainment and amenities.

Bistro 258 is positioned at 258 25th St. Ogden, UT 84404. They're open over the week to serve you a tasty lunch meal, a very romantic evening meal for two, or a meal with your friends. They provide extended stays on Friday and Saturday. Monday-Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Friday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They are closed down on Sundays.

They'd adore helping you make a booking, or chat with you concerning your current visit! Ogden happens to be a railroad town. In 1869, the very first Union Pacific Railroad Station was constructed (the railroad promptly outgrew the first building). Small businesses appeared all along 25th Street to support train passengers, who liked the local shops, eateries and hotels. 25th Street also had a bit of sketchy past-it was well-known for its brothels and, during Prohibition, illegal booze flowed in back rooms. Ogden (and 25th Street in particular), was a huge contrast to nearby Salt Lake City, with its Mormon temple and clean living. Throughout the 1950s, 25th Street was cleaned up and renovations began. The 1990s saw a lot more advancements and today, this historic element of Ogden is a vibrant thoroughfare packed with art, music, amusement and great food.

Why We Love Ogden Today

The residents of Ogden, as well as their guests make-up a special, diverse local community. The city is home to many talented people who make Ogden great. And, the city has a specific thing to offer everyone: from shopping to museums to historical sites-we have their own Minor League Baseball team! Right after your meal, be sure to take a look at these neighborhood sights:

You'll find the Union Pacific Railroad Station just a block and a half away. Dating back to 1924, the historic station now holds the Utah State Railroad Museum, the John M. Browning Firearms Museum along with the Browning-Kimball Classic Car Museum.

Peery's Egyptian Theater is a short a pair of block walk from Bistro 258. Built the same year as the Union Pacific Railroad Station (1924), the movie theater seats 800 patrons and provides film screenings, local music, plays, musicals and a host of other terrific events.

When you're searching for a few laughs after dinner, stop by Wiseguys Comedy Cafe, where you'll find some of the greatest stand-up comedians in the country! Wiseguys is a well-liked spot for entertainment-City Weekly chose it as the "Best Comedy Club!"

Cheer for the Ogden Raptors at Lindquist Field. We're proud of our Raptors, who play in the Pioneer League. You'll see some great up-and-coming talent out there on the field. The season runs June through September.

Ogden Farmers Market works from July through September. You'll discover fresh vegetables from local farmers, as well as handmade items and goods from local artisans.

Socialize with your fellow Ogden community at the First Friday Art Stroll along 25th Street. It's held on... you guessed it... the first Friday of every month, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
