Enjoy Cinnamon Rolls At Sojourn

Dough treats are the best. No one can resist them. Filled with chocolate, cream cheese or jelly, walnuts or poppy seeds, they are simply mouthwatering any time. You will find different versions of similar recipes in every single European country, and in every region, they have their own recipes. And the dough is simply irresistible with cinnamon.

Cinnamon is probably one of the most popular spices ever. When it comes to cakes, cinnamon rolls at sojourn are always loved and greatly appreciated. Everyone has his or her favorites, but you can also make your own version in your own kitchen. You will need just a few basic ingredients, and, in time, you'll probably make your own version, suited exactly to your personal taste.

To prepare this delicious treat you need around a pound of sharp flour, 125 grams of fresh butter, two to three deciliters of milk, two small spoons of sugar, one teaspoon of dry yeast, one small spoonful of salt and a pack of minced cinnamon and two additional tablespoons of sugar, as well as butter for greasing your dough and baking sheet.

Combine melted butter, warm milk and two teaspoons sugar, add a few tablespoons of flour and a spoon of dry yeast. Mix well together and let it rest in a warm place until it all rise. Then, add more flour and salt and make a dough. It should be soft but well formed. Add more flour if you think it is too soft.

So, let the dough rise for maybe a half an hour, or until it doubles. Once it rises, roll it out. Form a square. Sprinkle the melted butter on, add two large spoons of sugar, or more if you like, and some minced cinnamon. Do not be cheap with it, of course. So, now you should make a roll and slice it to 2 to 3 centimeters wide parts. Grease the baking sheet and place the rolls on their sides there.

Leave the dough to rise again. During this time, warm the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the cinnamon rolls until they become golden and crunchy. Take it out of the oven and prepare the dressing. For this, you will need cream cheese, powdered sugar, and butter. The butter needs to be softened first, and you should keep it at room temperature.

First, combine butter and sugar. Mix until soft and silky. Now it's time to add cream cheese and mix again. When it comes to sweet cream, you should add just enough to make the frosting perfectly smooth. In case you want to add more sugar, you will probably need more cream as well. See for yourself, but it should be liquid enough for you to pour it over hot rolls.

Sprinkle your tasty rolls with cream, white and smooth as it is. These lovely rolls are the best when they are still warm, but they are really tasty even when they cool off. You can freeze the roasts, but do not sprinkle them with cream right away. Once you defrost them, you can place them in the microwave or simply in the preheated oven for a few minutes, and sprinkle with the frosting when warm.
