Consumer Needs For The Right Cinnamon Toothpicks

By Jocelyn Davidson

It is estimated that the invention of toothpicks happened in the same period as the discovery of the wheel. This makes picking one's teeth one of the oldest human habits that started many decades ago. The sticks were made using materials such as ivory, gold, silver, bone and wood. In the modern world, wood has been used to make different types of flat and round-shaped sticks which include colored toothpicks, frilled toothpicks and flavored sticks such as cinnamon toothpicks among others.

One of the advantages of using the toothpicks is that they are able to make you smell fresh after a hasty meal. Once you take food the components are able to remove some of the bad smells that remain in your mouth. It would be very embarrassing if you talked to your friend immediately you take meals and see him/her making faces as they push you away.

There are various substances used to make flavored sticks such a cinnamon, maple, bacon, mint, citrus, orange, lemon and cherry among others. Flavored sticks are recommended for people who are addicted to nail biting, snacking and smoking among other forms of addiction. They are also preferred over chewing gum and candies because they are free of damaging calories and sugars that may cause dental cavities.

It is recommended that smokers should use cinnamon sticks to help them stop smoking. Generally, the sticks help to adjust your mentality by manipulating your mind to believe that you are holding a cigar or smoking pipe in your mouth or hand whenever you are holding the sticks. Moreover, the flavored sticks help to keep your mouth fresh all day and reduce or even eliminate the bad breath of tobacco or cigarette smoke.

You find that many addicts who take these sticks prefer to take the in bigger packs. That is usually because they want to take them each and every time. There are people who cannot stay for hours before they get a craving for these sticks. Most of the times, they are usually packed in 5 to 15 sticks. These packs are for people who are just new in smoking or those that are trying to stop being addicts.

You can also make cinnamon-oiled sticks at home after buying the necessary raw materials such as cinnamon oil from certified food stores, flat or round wooden toothpicks and a clean glass jar. Pour one or two ounces of flavored cinnamon oil into a glass jar, dip your sticks into the oil, close the lid and soak them overnight.

The following day in the morning, remove the sticks from the jar, put them on a flat surface and let them dry off completely. After some few hours of drying, you can then put them in your pack. You can also dry the sticks by preheating your microwave to at least 250 Fahrenheit, then place the sticks on a cookie sheet and put them in the microwave. After five to ten minutes, your flavored sticks should be dry. You can then remove and let them cool off before using any stick.

Lastly, in case oil remains after the preparations you may use it in the future in the making of the flavored sticks. If you would like to make the best sticks, it is important that you get to buy the oil from shopping malls that are registered by the local authorities.
