A Few Recommended Marco Island Restaurants

By Marissa Velazquez

It may be that you are reading this article because you are searching for some Marco Island restaurants to visit while you are in Florida. Florida is a great state to visit not only for its weather but maybe for some of its cuisine as well. Here are a few recommended places for your palate.

Verdis is one of those places in the area that is proudly touted as an all American bistro by its operator and owner. Its menu selection is quite comprehensive and there is plenty of something for everyone, including children and those on gluten free diet restrictions. The added advantage of visiting this place is that discounts can be had for bigger groups of eight or more people.

A great place to dine while looking out into Smokehouse Bay is CJs. This gazebo inspired location near a floating dock area will definitely inspire most to partake of the fare. Their menu also includes kiddie fare and their selection covers most seafood and meat preparations for your enjoyment.

For those that want a bit of family oriented fun and good food, then Sunset Grille might be the place. The options given to patrons run the whole gamut from brunch to late night dining. Those on a budget will find their outdoor seating to their taste also alongside the not so expensive prices as compared to other eateries in Marco. The sports bar theme will also be a hit to the younger crowd.

Pizza and pasta lovers should also not feel left out when going to this area. Great pizza can be had at a place called DaVinci, which many attest as having great pasta and pizza outside of New York City. This is a definite place that one should visit not only to give their pasta a try, but their many delectable chicken dishes as well.

For those who may crave for something south of the border, then Marco Island does not disappoint with the Stonewalls restaurant. A Mexican restaurant which serves everything from full meals to snacks, this place has a menu for children and vegans also. Many however get confused with the service they provide in which you pay first, seat yourself and get served. Many say that although a bit on the pricey side, the serving sizes do not disappoint.

For those who want simplicity at its finest, albeit the least amount of things on the menu, then Hoots may be the place for you. They only serve breakfast and only have pancakes, eggs, toast and steak on the menu. Very minimalist but it does not mean that it lacks in taste. Many a first timer have become regulars at this place.

Hopefully this article has given you some ideas on what to expect when looking for Marco Island restaurants. It is by no means an exhaustive list but at least it gives you a rough idea of what the area has to offer. By all means also give the other restaurants not on this list, for as they say, each to his own taste.
