Why Considering Egg Replacement Meals Is Not In Your Best Interest

By John Myers

The foods one eat are for various reasons. It is either because they were recommended by the doctor, you like it, it is nutritious, delicious, or you don't just have a problem with it. So many people love eggs for various reasons. A careful analysis of the reasons makes it important for people to continue their consumption and not to think of egg replacement diets anytime.

If there is anything you should consider not taking for the long term, it should be anything processed. Processed foods supply artificial calories, unlike eggs which are real foods. Besides, a single egg contains most of the nutrients the body needs to be strong. It can give you energy, protein, fats and so much more.

Moreso, eggs are easy to cook. Whether boiled or fried, it takes only a few minutes to have them ready for consumption. This makes them a preferred choice for snacks and early in the morning when one has to hurry for work or school. The good thing is that it can keep you sustained until the next meal is ready. An average-size egg contains about 70 calories of energy, 9 essential amino acids and 6 grams of protein.

You can also rely on eggs to get enough vitamin D for the body. Introducing eggs to children when they are still tender will prevent any occurrence of rickets. More so, even with a plentiful supply of calcium, a person can still experience its deficiencies if vitamin D is not in an adequate amount.

As one grows older, there is always a fear of having a poorer vision. But this is not always the case especially among those that know about the antioxidants known as lutein and zeaxanthin. These antioxidants are available in some natural foods including eggs. Even though you can be sure to find them elsewhere, it is still better to stick to eggs because the little present in them can be easily absorbed into the bloodstream.

There is a nutrient called choline which is contained in eggs. In fact, one egg contains about 125 milligrams of it. What this nutrient does is to facilitate cell functions. It helps the liver in its activities and helps in the transportation of substances around the body. Without choline, the body's metabolic rate will reduce.

Moreover, you cannot compare the cost of eggs to other similar products. Eggs are cheap despite being there with all its vitality. Instead of giving your children money to buy stuff in school for lunch, it is more rewarding to give them eggs.

There used to be fear that eggs contain a high amount of cholesterol. Even though it has some in its content, new findings reveal that the cholesterol level is not harmful. This finding has been backed up by THE United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Eating three eggs per day won't cause any harm because the food actually has the good cholesterol known as HDL.
