But the fast development of transportation has made the world smaller and it is now easy to import and export products.

The human tongue and sense many flavors. Man can separate distinctions in the bitterness of coffee, the sweetness of sugar, the sourness of vinegar, the bite of a spice, and the saltiness. Cuisines in many countries differ greatly in methods and materials. Preparing food is also an art. Perfect combinations are created every day to satiate a persons appetites.

European cuisine has a big influence in American cooking since immigrants mostly came from Europe. Every day a child is born, adding the existing population of the world. Food production is gearing up to meet the demand for it. What nature has given to man is being consumed at a very fast pace and this has raised concern among the many nations on earth. The bounty of the sea is dwindling. So too are the creatures that roam the forests. Producing meat and eggs however have made long strides. The preservation of natural resources is not to be taken for granted.

Beyond the basic need of man to gobble, there is such thing as tasted experience. The preparation tends to please the taste buds more than the stomach. These are call comfort eating.
