Prevent the preparation from being over steeped as this might lead to bitterness of the taste of the drink because there will be higher amount of tannin released. However it will still be safe for drinking. Remember that the black only requires three to five minutes while the green and white only up to two.

Citrus can heighten the potential of antioxidants contained in the ingredients because vitamin C increases their absorption in the body. This can also make the taste less bitter and the examples of this are lemon, grapefruit or orange. Adding honey is also acceptable for people who could not tolerate even a bit of bitterness.
