Do Small Carb Diets Work? Will You Lose Weight On Low Carb Bagels?

By Gregory Jones

Most restaurants including fast food franchises now provide several menu options for folks on low carbohydrate diets. However, a review of the nutrition facts does beg the question - Do low carbohydrate diets work? Every morning on my way to work, I grab my coffee and bagel at a popular coffee and donut franchise. Generally, I order the plain bagel with regular cream cheese, however being heavily influenced by my neighbor who thrives on low carbohydrate diets, I decided to try their low carb bagels instead.

A strict meal plan must be followed with the Scarsdale Low Carbohydrate diet but the good news is, if the diet plan is followed then a person can lose up to 30 LBS within 30 days and sometimes people can lose more. This diet is all about eating food that's little in carbohydrates and can be easily done thanks to the Scarsdale Little Carbohydrate diet e-book that's packed with some incredible recipes that is very easy to read and follow.

Regular Bagel (Serving Size 1 Bagel) - Calories: 320, Total Fat: 2.5g, Saturated Fat: 0.5g, Cholesterol: 0g, Total Carbohydrates: 62g, Protein 12g. Lower Carb Bagel (Serving Size 1 Bagel) - Calories: 380, Total Fat: 12g, Saturated Fat: 4.5g, Cholesterol: 20mg, Total Carbohydrates: 45g, Protein 25g

A lot of people complain about exercise, but the great news is, you don't need to exercise! While being able to exercise is awesome for your overall health some people just either don't have the time or have health reasons, and they can't exercise until they lose weight.

Include Good Foods- The next time you go to the grocery store, make sure to load up on delicious healthy foods that are high in good fats, protein, and nutrients that your body really needs. Look for things that are appealing to you, like high-quality meats, eggs, leafy green vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. Also, try cooking foods with better oils by using olive oil or coconut oil (which are great substitutes for less-healthy fats like vegetable oil). Try searching for little carbohydrate shopping lists online to find good ideas before your next trip to the grocery store.

Instead, follow a more practical plan that teaches you to eat the right calories without restricting to little fat or little carbohydrate diets only. Imagine if you could create your own unique diet. You choose the foods you want to eat, plug it into a program, and your very own custom diet will be created for you! In fact, losing weight could be downright fun!

After following such a simple plan and having fun eating and yet losing pounds I still frequent the coffee and donut place. However, I have now switched to the plain bagel but with reduced fat-lightly spread cream cheese. No lower carbohydrate bagel for me, please! But no more heavily spread regular cream cheese either! It's all about the eating the right foods and the right calories with the right exercises that keep the pounds away!

There are many benefits to eating little carbohydrate diet, the most obvious is weight loss, but did you know that eating little carbs also helps with high blood pressure, heart conditions, depression, and diabetes.
